RHUK Hand-tied Weft training

A one day/evening hand tied weft course suitable for anyone who would like to learn how to make custom made long lasting, non-shedding hand tied hair wefts.

 

These wefts are suitable to be applied using the braided sew in method, micro rings, LA weave method or hair extension tape. They can also have clips sewn to them to make clip in hair extensions.

During the 3-4 hour hair weft training course, students will be taught:

​

* How to set up the weaving poles and thread.

​

* How to weave the hair, including how to start and finish a weft.

​

* How to hand stitch and then seal the hand tied weft.

​

* How to attach clips to make clip in hair extensions.

​

* How to blend hair to create different shades.

​

* How to create 'piano wefts' and highlighted effects within the weft.

​

* Guidance will be given on approximate amounts of hair needed to make various width and lengths of hand tied wefts.

​

* Advice on pricing of the finished weaves.

​

Eleanor's aim is for each student to leave being able to confidently and competently make hand-tied wefts, However, students should expect to have to put in a number of hours of practise after the training, in order to perfect their weaving technique.  

​

The course costs £300. Students will be provided with a 'kit list' of items that need to be purchased - this can be before the course if preferred. Diagrams and written information will be provided on the day of training. The taking of photos and videos will be permitted during the training, but these must be used for personal reference only.

 

For those that prefer, the full kit can be provided and supplied on the day of the training. This will be an extra £200.

 

A £50 deposit is required when booking the training, with the remaining balance to be paid on the day of the course. Discounts may be available for two students wishing to train together.

 

The kit will include :

* Hair weaving poles

* Hair hackle brush

​

* Hair weaving thread

​

* Brushes for holding the loose hair

​

* Clips and glue

​

* 25  grams of Russian hair

​

* Diagram and instructions 

​

Further 'top up' lessons will be available to anyone who completes the initial training at a cost of £50 per hour.
